My
role is to support those in the industry trying to look to the near
horizon or to those outside health care who want to find out more
about how $1 in every $7 gets spent. In more than 13 years in health
care as a researcher, generalist forecaster, and strategist, I've
worked for renowned forecasting
and survey
research organizations, conducted several ground-breaking in-depth
studies
about many aspects of health care, and
delivered several keynote addresses.
Many companies from every part of the health
care industry have used my studies to understand their environment,
my forecasts to set their strategy, and my advice to inform their
decisions. I've also helped several non-profit organizations and
foundations.

My last role was as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development
at i-Beacon,
a data analysis and Internet tools provider, which helped healthcare
companies better understand consumers. Before joining i-Beacon,
I was at Harris
Interactive, the leading healthcare survey research company.
And back before World War II (or more accurately, prior to 1998) I was at
Institute for the
Future, the leading forecasting think tank, where I ran the
healthcare information technology practice.
